Bulgaria will ban products with flavors other than tobacco from January 1, 2024, in response to the European Commission's directive. The amendment requires all heated-tobacco packaging to display a warning highlighting associated risks. The Ministry of Economy and Industry will also prohibit tobacco products with additives that increase toxicity, addictive properties, or pose risks of cancer, mutations, or reproductive toxicity.
