The Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport has instructed all institutions to draft a draft sub-decree to prevent the use and distribution of e-cigarettes. The proposal, presented by Minister Hang Chuon Naron, aims to protect youth and authorize schools to work with local authorities to prohibit the sale of e-cigarettes around schools throughout Cambodia. The minister also calls on authorities to crackdown on all forms of e-cigarette distribution and trafficking activities within Cambodia, particularly those conducted through online platforms. The Cambodian government has issued guidelines categorizing e-cigarettes as harmful drugs, prohibiting their importation, trafficking, and use.
