On May 17, 2025, the European Commission Amended annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 with respect to registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4), decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (D5) and dodecamethylcyclohexasiloxane (D6). This regulation emphasize replacement of Annex VII of EC No 1907/2006 with revised restriction, prohibition, and limits of D4, D5 and D6 in wash-off cosmetic products, medicinal products and cleaning products of (EU) 2024/1328.
This Regulation will be effective from June 16, 2024.
