EU: Public comments sought on updating the list of authorised products & substances for organic production

The Commission is looking to launch an initiative to update an established list of authorised products and substances (Regulation (EU) 2021/1165) according to EU rules on organic farming. Producers can only use substances listed and only those products that respect natural systems and cycles, and protect and improve the state of soil, water and air, and plant and animal health, will be included on this list. Public comments on this initiative are sought till November 21, 2022.
