Longhua District Strengthens E-Cigarette Industry Oversight to Prevent Illegal Activities and Ensure Consumer Safety

On December 26, 2024, the Longhua Sub-district Office in Longhua District conducted a comprehensive inspection of e-cigarette enterprises to curb illegal practices, including the illicit addition of etomidate to products. The operation focused on verifying the legitimacy of raw material procurement, checking business licenses, and scrutinizing product labeling to prevent misleading claims, especially targeting young consumers. Additionally, anti-drug propaganda was disseminated to relevant enterprises, and 27 e-cigarette businesses were inspected.
