Proposed reforms to the regulation of vapes

The Office of Impact Analysis (IA) has proposed reforms to regulate vaping in Australia, addressing the growing issue of vaping among young people and young adults. The proposed measures include strengthening regulatory arrangements, limiting access to vapes only under a prescription from a registered pharmacist, limiting flavorings, introducing plain packaging, and reducing nicotine concentration in vaping e-liquids. Disposable single-use vapes will also be banned. The proposed measures aim to reduce vaping-related harm among Australian adults and teenagers.
