The South Carolina Senate recently approved legislation, H. 3563, which exempts feminine care products such as pads, tampons, and menstrual cups from taxation. The bill received overwhelming support, with 46 senators voting in favour of it. South Carolina would join over 20 other states with similar exemptions if the bill is signed by the governor. Currently it awaits the governor's approval and has been last ratfied as of 8th May, 2024.
