On May 21, 2026, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) announced that its Developmental and Reproductive Toxicant Identification Committee (DARTIC) will meet on June 18, 2026, to discuss progress in developing hazard identification materials for p,pʹ-bisphenol chemicals under California Proposition 65. The meeting will include updates from OEHHA staff regarding the proposal to develop hazard identification materials that could support future consideration of p,pʹ-bisphenol chemicals for listing as developmental and reproductive toxicants under Proposition 65. The committee will review scientific information and discuss the ongoing evaluation process, but no listing decisions will be made during this meeting. In addition to discussions on p,pʹ-bisphenol chemicals, OEHHA will provide updates on chemical listings through administrative listing mechanisms, safe harbor levels, and other Proposition 65 regulatory activities and litigation developments. Background materials supporting the hazard evaluation process have been made available to stakeholders ahead of the meeting. The initiative represents an early stage in California's hazard assessment process and may inform future regulatory actions concerning p,pʹ-bisphenol chemicals under Proposition 65.
