Fresh & Ready Foods LLC has initiated a recall of a limited number of Sprig & Sprout Spicy Breakfast Burritos and Fresh & Ready Spicy Breakfast Burritos due to the presence of undeclared soy resulting from the inadvertent inclusion of sausage in a product labelled as vegetarian. The issue was identified after sausage was found in products labelled vegetarian during an internal quality review. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date. Consumers with soy allergies or sensitivities may be at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if the affected products are consumed. The recalled products were distributed through retail stores, micro markets and vending machines in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The affected products carry a fresh-through date of 20 July 2026. Fresh & Ready Foods has advised consumers not to consume the recalled products and to discard any remaining product or return it to the place of purchase. The company is conducting the recall in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
