Relay Peak Research LLC, operating under the Zen Principle brand, has voluntarily recalled Zen Principle® Moringa Leaf Powder Capsules after FDA testing identified potential Salmonella contamination in the moringa leaf powder used to manufacture the product. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems. The affected product was distributed nationwide in the United States between December 2025 and July 2026 through the company's website, Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. The recall was initiated after the ingredient supplier informed the company that FDA testing of the raw moringa material had returned a positive result for Salmonella. Although no illnesses or adverse events had been reported at the time of the recall, consumers were advised to stop using the affected product immediately and return it for a full refund or dispose of it safely. The incident highlights the continued importance of microbiological controls, supplier qualification, and quality assurance measures within the dietary supplement supply chain.
