On April 9, 2026, the World Trade Organization (WTO) circulated notification G/SPS/N/BRA/2483 titled "Brazil Notifies Draft Resolution 1390 Proposing Inclusion of Tribasic Copper Sulfate in Monograph List of Active Ingredients." The proposed measure, issued by the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA), introduces amendments to the Monograph List of Active Ingredients for Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products, and Wood Preservatives. The draft resolution proposes the addition of subitem C55.7 - Tribasic Copper Sulfate to monograph C55 - Copper-Based Compounds, which was originally established under Normative Instruction No. 103 of October 19, 2021. The inclusion would expand the list of approved active ingredients used in relevant chemical and pesticide products in Brazil. The objective of the measure is to ensure food safety through the regulation and evaluation of active ingredients used in pesticides and related products.
