The Food Safety and Quality Division (FSQD) of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has launched the 2025 Online Public Consultation (Seranta Awam Atas Talian) on proposed amendments to Malaysia’s Food Regulations 1985 and related subsidiary legislation.The consultation invites participation from industry stakeholders, professional associations, non-governmental organisations, consumer groups, and the public to review and provide feedback on the draft regulations. The proposed amendments cover key areas such as: Food safety standards, Food additives regulations, Labeling requirements, Nutrient content provisions and other relevant food regulatory updates. This initiative aims to strengthen Malaysia’s food safety control systems, enhance consumer health protection, and align national regulations with international standards and scientific risk assessments. The consultation period, draft documents, and submission procedures are detailed on the same platform. All feedback received will be reviewed and considered in finalising the regulatory amendments.
