In early January 2025, South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) initiated a public consultation on proposed amendments to the Enforcement Rule of the Act on Labeling and Advertising of Foods. The initiative aims to promote electronic labeling (e-labeling) to enhance consumer access to essential food information and reduce resource waste associated with packaging updates. Stakeholders are invited to submit their opinions by February 13, 2025.
