"On 8 December 2025, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) announced amendments to the national Pesticide Residue Regulation, introducing updated Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) for a broad range of substances. The revisions align several limits with EU Regulation (EU) 2025/1212 and introduce both upward and harmonized adjustments across plant and animal commodities.

The key changes include:

Acetamiprid (aligned with EU rules):
– Linseeds: 0.06 mg/kg
– Poppy seeds: 0.3 mg/kg
– Mustard seeds: 0.15 mg/kg
– Oilseed camelina: 0.06 mg/kg
– Soybeans: 0.01 mg/kg
– Honey: 0.3 mg/kg

Other updated MRLs:
– Amidosulfuron: Barley and oats at 1.5 mg/kg; rye and wheat at 0.5 mg/kg.
– Azoxystrobin: Melons and watermelons set at 6 mg/kg.
– Hexythiazox: Blackberries and raspberries set at 3 mg/kg.
– Isoxaben: Dry beans and dry peas set at 0.02 mg/kg.
– Picloram: Elevated MRLs for animal-origin products and honey, including kidney at 5 mg/kg and honey at 0.05 mg/kg.
– Propamocarb:
• Leafy mustard and arugula: 600 mg/kg
• Leaves of small radish: 600 mg/kg
• Garden radish roots: 8 mg/kg
– Sodium silver thiosulfate: Added to Annex IV, removing the need for a specific MRL.
– Tefluthrin: Harmonized MRL of 0.08 mg/kg across root and tuber vegetables.

The updated regulation takes immediate effect as published by Mattilsynet, ensuring Norway remains aligned with evolving EU food safety standards for pesticide residues."
