Maria has a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition Science from Dominican University in River Forest, IL (Chicagoland, USA). With over 20 years of professional experience in product development, innovation, project management, and technical ingredient sales for food/beverage CPG products. Maria was a food scientist project manager with Food Marketing Support Services Inc. for ten (10) years, working with top Fortune 500 companies. She was also an R&D consultant for several USA/EU food companies, including PepsiCo, Good Foods Group LLC, and Vegetable Juices. Inc.
With a career that spans multiple areas of cosmetic Regulatory affairs and with an entrepreneur perspective, Sonia brings to the table more than eight (08) years of experience in cosmetic safety assessment and Regulatory affairs consulting. She has been proven to help clients to ensure the safety of their products and to comply with the constantly changing European cosmetic regulations. At Freyr, she is the Head of Delivery for the European cosmetics market. She has pursued her higher education in chemistry and is a leading qualified professional cosmetic safety assessor in the EU and the UK.
