On 4 March 2026 Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) This notice provides a preview of upcoming changes to the 2026 AICIS Industrial Chemicals Categorisation Guidelines, following the review of public feedback received between 13 November 2025 and 28 January 2026. The changes have been finalized after considering all submissions and will take effect from September 2026. Key changes include: 1. Updates to the list of chemicals with high hazards for categorisation: addition of 293 new entries (based on updates to external sources and recent AICIS assessments or evaluations) and updates to 122 existing entries (to reflect additions to other sources or updated hazard details). 2. Addition of 5 chemicals to part 6.5.2 of the Guidelines (Information required to demonstrate the absence of developmental toxicity). 3. Revised single definition of 'chemical identity holder'. 4.
