On 8 January 2026, Loophole Brewing Co P/L announced a recall of its Pacific Ale 5 litre party keg following the identification of a secondary fermentation issue that may pose a food safety risk.

The affected product has been available for sale at Costco stores in New South Wales (NSW), the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Victoria (VIC), and Western Australia (WA).

The recall applies to products with the following date markings:

Packed 13/10/2025 – Best Before 13/10/2026

Packed 15/10/2025 – Best Before 15/10/2026

According to the company, secondary fermentation may result in excess alcohol content and increased carbonation pressure. Consumption of the affected product, or opening the keg, may cause illness or injury, including the risk of sudden release of pressure.

Consumers are advised not to drink or open the product and to dispose of it safely. Customers should contact Loophole Brewing Co P/L directly to receive safe disposal instructions and reimbursement.
