The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched eight-week public consultations on several applications for authorisation under the REACH Regulation. Stakeholders from the EU and beyond are invited to submit comments in English before the consultation deadline of 8 April 2026 (23:59 Helsinki time). The current consultations cover both initial applications and review reports for substances listed on the Authorisation List. Substances under review include 1. Chromium trioxide 2. 4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated; 4-Nonylphenol, branched and linear, ethoxylated 3. Nonylphenol, branched, ethoxylated 4. Dibutyl phthalate 5. Dibutyl phthalate 6. Trichloroethylene 7. Strontium chromate ECHA’s Committees will consider submitted comments as part of their scientific evaluation before issuing opinions on whether the requested uses should be authorised.
