"Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare has announced comprehensive revisions to the Cosmetic Ingredient Use Restriction Table, with implementation set for October 1, 2027 (ROC Year 116). The update introduces 34 new restricted ingredients, revises restrictions for 74 existing ingredients, removes one ingredient, and updates product-type definitions, INCI names, and publication notes.

The amendments align national rules with international cosmetic safety regulations and strengthen consumer protection. Key updates include revised limits for hair dye substances, changes for ingredients such as kojic acid, arbutin, and strontium acetate, and technical corrections across 13 entries. Products manufactured or imported before September 30, 2027 may continue to be sold within their original shelf life."
