,"On November 18, 2025, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated a draft standard DARS 1524-2:2025, Cosmetics — Safety of cosmetic products ingredients — Part 2: List of substances which cosmetic products must not contain except subject to the restrictions laid down.This Draft African Standard specifies list of substances which cosmetic products must not contain except subject to the restrictions laid down. This draft standard does not apply to medicinal products, medical devices or biocidal products.
Following are the List of restricted substances(Annex A)
1. Thioglycolic acid and its salts
2. Thioglycolic acid esters
3. Oxalic acid, its esters and alkaline salts
4. Ammonia
5. Tosylchloramid e sodium (INN) and so on..
