"The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Thailand has published the Draft Regulation on Procedures for Food Registration Numbers (No. 2), B.E. 2568 (2025), aimed at improving service efficiency, simplifying procedures, and reducing the time required for product approvals. Under the proposed regulation, all food products must be submitted for registration upon their first import for sale. The draft also introduces provisions allowing electronic amendments to product labels via the FDA website, facilitating a faster and more convenient process for businesses.
To ensure clarity and practical application, the FDA is circulating the draft regulation to solicit comments and suggestions from stakeholders. Feedback received will be considered in the finalization of the regulation, ensuring that the law meets both regulatory and industry needs while maintaining consumer safety."
