,"On November 18, 2025, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated a draft standard DARS 2213:2025(E), Cosmetics — List by Category of cosmetic products — from Uganda.This African Standard Draft provides the list of products that are categorized as cosmetics. This standard does not apply to cosmetic products for which therapeutic claims are made and biocidal products.
Following are the List of Products
1) Baby products
a) Baby shampoos
b) Lotions, oils, powders and creams
c) Baby wash
d) Baby cologne
e) Petroleum jelly
f) Other baby products
2) Skin products
a) Skin care products
b) Skin cleansing products
c) Body hair removal products
d) Bleach for body hair products
e) Correction of body odour and/or perspiration
f) Shaving and pre- / after- shaving products
g) Make-up products
h) Sun and self-tanning products (suntan preparations)
3) Hair and scalp products
a) Hair and scalp care and cleansing products
b) Hair colouring products
c) Hair styling products
d) Hair preparation (non-colouring)
4) Nail and cuticle products (manicure and pedicure products)
5) Oral hygiene products
