EU RAPEX Issues Recall for Black Smart Watch Due to Excessive Lead Levels

On September 19, 2024, the EU rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products (RAPEX) notified a recall of "Black Smart Watch." The recall of the product occurred due to an excessive concentration of lead in the solders, measuring up to 53% by weight. Lead poses a risk to the environment. Legally, the product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive on restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2 Directive).
