On May 13, 2026, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) disclosed the approval results for the seventh batch of simplified registration certificates for environmental management of new chemical substances in 2026. The disclosure was issued in accordance with the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Open Government Information. The published approval list includes 13 new chemical substances approved under China’s simplified registration procedure for activities involving production and import. The approved substances include industrial chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, specialty materials, and battery-related compounds such as 1. Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide 2. (E)-N-((dimethylamino)methylene)pyridine-4-formamide 3. (1S,2R,3R,4aR,6aS,7R,8 R,10 aR,10 bR,12aR)-benzyl 3-hydrazine-2-hydroxy-1,6 a, 8,10 a-tetramethyl-8-((R)-3-methylbutane-2-yl)-2,3,4,6,6 a,7,8,9,10,10 a,10b,11,12,12 a-tetrahydrogen-1 H-1,4 a-(methobonoxymethylmethylbridge)leb-7-formate hydrochloride 4. Tetra(2-chloropropyl) (propane-2,2-diylbis(4,1-phenyl))bis(phosphate). 5. (2 S,3R)-2-[[(2S)-2-[[(2 R)-2-acetylamino-3-methyl-3-triphenylmethylthiobutyroyl]amino]-4-amino-4-oxobutyroyl]amino]-3- tert-butoxybutyric acid 6. (2 S,3R)-2-[[(2S)-2-[[(2 R)-2-acetylamino-3-methyl-3-triphenylmethylthiobutyroyl]amino]-4-amino-4-oxobutyroyl]amino]-3- tert-butoxybutyric acid 7. Niobium tungsten oxide 8. Tri[3-(bromomethyl)benzyl]amine 9. N-diphenylmethyl-N-(3-oxocyclobutyl)propane-1-sulfonamide 10. (5S,8S,11S,14S,17S,20S, 23 S,26S)-8-benzyl-14,26-bis(3-(tert-butoxy)-3-oxopropyl)-17-(4-(tert-butoxy)benzyl)-11-((S)-mediumbutyl)-1-(9h -Fluorine-9-yl)-20,23-diisobutyl-5-methyl-3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27-nonoxy-2-oxa-4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28-nonazazatetricane-30-acid 11. 1-(4-ethylcyclohexyl)-4-(4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenoxy)benzene 12. 5-Methyl-2H-tetrazole The registrations involve multiple domestic and international companies, including Jiujiang Tianci New Power Material Technology Co., Ltd, Changzhou Hequan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Nyobolt Limited, and Shikoku Chemicals Corporation. Most registrations were approved for production activities, while certain substances were authorized for import into China. The approvals form part of China’s regulatory framework governing the environmental management of new chemical substances, which requires companies to obtain registration certificates before manufacturing or importing new chemicals within the country.
