On May 7, 2026, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) disclosed the approval results for the third batch of routine registration certificates for environmental management of new chemical substances in 2026. The disclosure was issued in accordance with the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Open Government Information. The published approval list includes four new chemical substances authorized for production activities in China under the routine registration procedure. The approved substances include pharmaceutical and specialty chemical intermediates such as 1. 5-Bromo-4-fluoro-1-methyl-1H-indazole 2. Butymidine hydrochloride 3. 5-(trifluoromethyl)-2H-tetrazole sodium salt acetone solution 4. 2,5-Dichloro-3-[(R)-methoxy-3-oxacyclic butyl methyl]benzoic acid The registrations involve several Chinese companies, including Taixing Hequan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Fujian Shunyue Technology Co., Ltd, Fujian Shaowu Ronghui Chemical Co., Ltd, and Kailaiying Pharmaceutical Chemical (Jilin) Technology Co., Ltd. Certain substances approved under the routine registration process will be subject to new use environmental management requirements after inclusion in the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China. The approvals form part of China’s environmental management framework governing the manufacture and use of new chemical substances.
