"Israel has published an amendment to the Public Health Protection (Food) Notice (Application of Changes to the Annex to the European Union Directives), formally adopting and implementing recent European Union updates to Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011, which governs plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. 
The order was issued under the authority of Section 3A(d)(1) of the Public Health Protection (Food) Law, 5776–2015, empowering the Minister of Health to apply EU food-contact material amendments directly into Israeli law.
The amendment ensures that Israel remains aligned with EU regulatory developments for food-contact plastics, particularly in areas of recycled plastics, manufacturing practices, purity requirements, and compliance declarations. EU Regulation Adopted
Israel has adopted Commission Regulation (EU) 2025/351 of 21 February 2025, which:
Amends Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to contact food
Amends Regulation (EU) 2022/1616 on recycled plastic food-contact materials
Repeals Regulation (EC) No 282/2008

Addition of Article 3a, introducing explicit requirements for high-purity substances used in plastic food-contact materials

Removal of references to “temporary lists”
Revision of Chapter IV title
