On 11 May 2026, South Korea Korea Environment Corporation (KECO) announced the disclosure of supporting materials for the “2026 Existing Chemical Substance Registration Consulting Support Project,” which is intended to assist companies with the full registration process for existing chemical substances under South Korea’s chemical regulatory framework. According to KECO, the support programme is being implemented as part of ongoing efforts to facilitate compliance with chemical substance registration obligations and provide practical assistance to companies handling existing substances subject to regulatory requirements. The agency stated that the list of supporting materials has been released through the official project notice, and consulting firms contracted by KECO will separately contact participating companies regarding each applicable support item. The project is designed to provide consultation and guidance throughout the registration process, helping companies prepare documentation and comply with procedural requirements related to existing chemical substance registration. KECO requested active cooperation from participating companies to ensure smooth implementation of the programme.
