On December 28, 2024, the Canadian Ministry of Health published the final version of the "Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines - Iron" through the Government Gazette, which determined that the limit index (AO) for total iron in drinking water will be revised from ≤0.3 mg/L to ≤0.1 mg/L (100μg/L).
