"ECHA has opened a 60-day public consultation (17 November 2025 – 16 January 2026) on the proposal submitted by Finland to establish a harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for quizalofop-P-ethyl (CAS 100646-51-3), an active substance used in plant protection products.

The dossier submitter proposes adding the substance to Annex VI of the CLP Regulation with the following classifications:
Acute Tox. 4, H302 (Oral)
Carc. 2, H351
Aquatic Acute 1, H400 (M=1)
Aquatic Chronic 1, H410 (M=1)
Oral ATE: 1182 mg/kg bw

A wide range of hazard classes are open for commenting, including acute toxicity (oral, dermal, inhalation), skin and eye effects, sensitisation, germ cell mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, STOT (single and repeated exposure), aspiration hazard, and hazards to the aquatic environment, among others.

Stakeholders are invited to provide comments, scientific data, and justification either supporting or contesting the proposed classifications. "
