"ECHA has launched a 60-day consultation (17 November 2025 to 16 January 2026) on France’s proposal to update the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of sodium fluoride (EC 231-667-8; CAS 7681-49-4). The dossier submitter proposes retaining the current classifications (Acute Tox. 3, H301; Skin Irrit. 2, H315; Eye Irrit. 2, H319) and adding new classifications for Acute Tox. 3, H331, Repr. 1B, H360F, and ED HH 1 (EUH380), supported by updated ATE values for oral and inhalation exposure. Several hazard classes are open for commenting, including acute toxicity (oral, dermal, inhalation), reproductive toxicity, and endocrine disruption for human health.
Parties concerned are invited to submit scientific data, comments, or justification supporting or contesting the proposed classifications. Late submissions will not be considered in the Response to Comments table. All received comments will remain publicly available in the Registry of CLH intentions until outcome."
