On March 17, 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a public consultation on the harmonised classification and labelling of Cannabidiol (CAS 13956-29-1) and 5-Methylhexan-2-one (CAS 110-12-3, EC 203-737-8). Stakeholders are invited to submit scientific evidence and comments before the deadline on May 16, 2025. The substances under review for hazard classes include: 1) 2-[(1R,6R)-3-methyl-6-prop-1-en-2-ylcyclohex-2-en-1-yl]-5-pentylbenzene-1,3-diol; Cannabidiol (CBD, CAS 13956-29-1): Proposed classification for reproductive toxicity.2) 5-Methylhexan-2-one; Isoamyl methyl ketone (CAS 110-12-3, EC 203-737-8): Proposed classification for acute toxicity and reproductive toxicity.
