"The Corrigendum to Regulation (EU) 2024/2748 updates several EU rules to make emergency procedures smoother, covering product conformity, common standards, and market oversight during urgent situations. It allows national authorities to recognize authorizations from other Member States, while the Commission can extend these authorizations across the EU if they meet essential safety and health requirements. Subsystems, safety devices, personal protective equipment, and other appliances can be authorised EU-wide once they meet essential criteria. These products are clearly labelled sometimes as “crisis essential commodities” and their conditions for market placement and use are carefully defined to ensure safety, compliance, and smooth circulation across the internal market."
