"Suzanna’s Kitchen, a Suwanee, Georgia–based establishment, is recalling approximately 62,550 pounds of fully cooked, bone-in breaded chicken products due to misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
The recalled product contains soy, a known food allergen, which is not declared on the product label. Individuals with a soy allergy or sensitivity may be at risk of an allergic reaction if they consume the affected product.
The 8-piece cut, bone-in breaded chicken portions were produced on October 16, 2025. The following product is subject to recall:
18-lb. cases containing four units of “FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS,” with case code “P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04” printed on the side of the packaging.
The product bears the USDA mark of inspection on the case label and establishment number “P-1380” printed on the side of the package. These items were shipped to restaurant locations nationwide.
The issue was identified when the company notified FSIS that it had discovered chicken products containing soy were mislabeled with a product code that does not indicate the presence of an allergen.
At this time, no confirmed reports of adverse reactions associated with consumption of the recalled product have been reported. Anyone who believes they may have experienced an illness or allergic reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
FSIS is concerned that some of the affected products may still be in restaurant refrigerators or freezers. Restaurants are urged not to serve the recalled product and to discard it immediately.
FSIS will conduct recall effectiveness checks to verify that the recalling firm has properly notified its customers and that steps are being taken to ensure the product is no longer available for consumption. When available, retail or distribution lists will be posted on the FSIS recalls webpage."
