Food, beverages, medicines, cosmetics, chemical products, biological products, genetically engineered products, and consumer goods (worn, used, or utilised by the public) that are subject to mandatory halal certification. The draft regulation provides clear guidance and legal certainty for consumers, business actors, BPJPH, and relevant stakeholders on the form (design, size, colour, placement, visibility, etc.) and criteria for non-halal information labelling on products entering, circulating, or traded in Indonesia. 1) Objective and Rationale: A. Attached SFDA Circular (unrelated to WTO notification): The Arabic document is a separate circular (No. 2/37719, dated 18/08/1446 AH ≈ 14 February 2025) from the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) prohibiting the use of phrases or logos on cosmetic product labels implying the product is intended or manufactured for a market other than Saudi Arabia. Such wording violates the Cosmetic Claims Regulation (SFDA.CO/GSO 2528), and non-compliant products will not be cleared for release into the Saudi market.
