,On 1 October 2025, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals) issued S.O. 4495(E) amending the Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) Copolymers (Quality Control) Order, 2022 under section 16 read with section 25(3) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016. The amendment, titled the Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymers (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025, revises the effective date of the original order, specifying that it shall now come into force on 3 October 2026. The notification was issued after consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards and is intended to serve the public interest. The original EVA Copolymers Order, 2022, along with subsequent amendments in 2022, 2023, and 2024, established quality control requirements for EVA copolymers used in various applications, ensuring material consistency and safety. This amendment provides clarity on the timeline for enforcement, allowing stakeholders sufficient time for compliance.
