"On August 13, 2025, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) circulated ""United Arab Emirates Control Scheme of Cosmetics and Personal Care Products"". This draft is open for comments till October 12, 2025. The provisions of this scheme shall apply to all cosmetics and personal care products that are placed on the market, manufactured, imported, supplied, or packaged for use within the State. The following are exempt from the provisions of this scheme: a. Medicinal products are used to treat diseases. b. medical cosmetics. c. Devices and tools accompanying cosmetics This scheme of rules emphasize on requirements for obtaining a certificate of conformity, supervision and market inspection, violation and penalities."
