"Vietnam held a conference to disseminate the Law on Chemicals 2025 and promote safety in chemical activities, attracting over 200 delegates from city departments, commune/ward authorities, and local chemical enterprises. The event was organized by the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Department of Chemicals, Ministry of Industry and Trade. Deputy Director highlighted the importance of the new law in enhancing state management, ensuring safety for people, property, and the environment, particularly in Hai Phong’s industrial context. Deputy Director of the Department of Chemicals, outlined key provisions of Law No. 69/2025/QH15, effective January 1, 2026, emphasizing comprehensive management of chemical activities, clear responsibilities in the supply chain, incident response, and digital transformation through the National Chemical Database System. The conference included expert guidance on implementing the law, ensuring chemical safety, and preparing annual chemical activity reports in line with the National Chemical Database System. The law aims to balance the development of Vietnam’s chemical industry with the protection of human health, the environment, and adherence to international commitments"
