,On March 27, 2025, the World Trade Organization (WTO) circulated the draft Egyptian Standard ES 1654 for ""Liquid Glass Cleaner."" This draft standard replaces the previous version from 2018. It is important to note that this draft was previously notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/202 on January 9, 2019, along with Ministerial Decree No. 103/2019 (2 pages in Arabic), which was also notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/202/Add.1 on May 15, 2019. The Ministerial Decree mandated the earlier version of this standard. This draft standard aligns with the following regulations: * Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 of the European Parliament and Council on detergents* Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 - Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)* Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 - Classification, Labeling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP)* IS 8540/1986 (reaffirmed 2021)* GSO 884/2012 Producers and importers are kept up to date on any amendments to Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
