,On February 19, 2026, the United States circulated Addendum G/TBT/N/USA/2062/Add.8 to the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), notifying the entry into force of a measure extending the postponement of effectiveness for certain provisions of the final rule entitled “Trichloroethylene (TCE); Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)”. The measure, issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), extends for an additional 90 days the postponement of conditions imposed on uses covered by exemptions under Section 6(g) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). As of February 17, 2026, the effectiveness of these provisions is further postponed until May 18, 2026. The original final rule was published on December 17, 2024 (89 FR 102568). The addendum concerns the notification of entry into force of the extension, effective May 18, 2026. The measure is published in the Federal Register (91 FR 7401, February 18, 2026)
