On 26 June 2026, Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) published an updated List of Evaluations in Progress, revising its Rolling Action Plan under the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019. The update adds nine new evaluations, increasing the total number of active evaluations to 14, and includes a request for information under Section 75 to support the assessment process. The newly initiated evaluations are: 1) 2-Hexanone, 5-methyl- (CAS 110-12-3) – Human Health, due to a potential human health risk identified through Evaluation Selection Analysis; 2) Alkyl and aryl substituted para-phenylenediamines – Environment, due to a potential environmental risk; 3) Aminomethyl propanol and its salts – Human Health, following new information on potential human health risks; 4) 4,4'-Dichlorodiphenyl sulfone (CAS 80-07-9) – Environment, due to a potential environmental risk; 5) Galaxolide (CAS 1222-05-5) – Human Health, following new human health information; 6) Phosphorodithioic acid mixed esters (UVCB) – Environment, due to a potential environmental risk; 7) Genistein (CAS 446-72-0) – Human Health, to assess reproductive and developmental toxicity hazards.
