The Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) of China issued a public notice on June 22, 2026, regarding the review status of the ninth batch of applications for simplified registration certificates under the environmental management system for new chemical substances. In accordance with the Measures for Environmental Management and Registration of New Chemical Substances (MEE Order No. 12), the Ministry reviewed 13 simplified registration applications submitted by various domestic and international companies. The applications were found to meet the relevant regulatory requirements and are proposed for approval. The substances include pharmaceutical intermediates, fluorinated compounds, specialty chemicals, and other industrial substances intended for production or import activities. The public consultation period was open from June 22 to June 24, 2026, during which stakeholders could submit comments to the Ministry. The notice forms part of China's ongoing regulatory oversight of new chemical substances to ensure environmental protection and chemical safety.
