On May 7, 2026, the Ministry of Labor published a draft amendment to certain provisions of the “Regulations for the Labeling and Hazard Communication of Hazardous Chemicals,” including revisions to Appendix 1 of Article 5 and Appendices 3 and 4 of Article 12. The proposed amendments were issued through official notice No. 1150251656 and opened for public consultation. The proposal seeks to revise Taiwan’s hazardous chemical labeling and hazard communication requirements under the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) framework. Stakeholders may submit comments and recommendations until July 6, 2026. The draft amendments are part of Taiwan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen occupational chemical safety management and update hazard communication requirements in line with evolving regulatory and international standards.
