Under the partnership, Amie will receive exclusive access to selected washable superabsorbent fabrics developed by Technical Absorbents for use in its reusable period underwear. The collaboration follows approximately 18 months of joint product development, testing, and performance validation aimed at delivering high-performance, reusable absorbent garments. The agreement comes amid growing demand in India's menstrual hygiene market for sustainable, reusable alternatives to disposable sanitary products, driven by increased consumer awareness, rising disposable incomes, and expanding e-commerce access. Technical Absorbents also noted growing interest in its second-generation washable absorbent technology for both menstrual care and incontinence applications.
