The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) announced that its headquarters chemical testing laboratory has expanded its analytical testing services by introducing new testing parameters for dairy and sugar-related products.

Under the updated testing scope:

1.New phosphatase and lactose testing services have been introduced for milk and milk products.
New glucose, fructose, and sucrose testing services have been added for sugar products as well as milk and milk products.

2.BSTI has also preliminarily established the testing fees for these new analytical services. The regular testing fee for phosphatase analysis applicable to milk and milk products has been set at 3,000 Taka, while the urgent testing fee is 6,000 Taka.

3.For glucose, fructose, sucrose, and lactose testing applicable to sugar and sugar products as well as milk and milk products, the regular testing fee has been fixed at 8,500 Taka, and the urgent testing fee at 9,000 Taka.

The update strengthens laboratory testing capabilities for quality control and compliance verification of dairy and sugar-related food products in Bangladesh.
