On 20 April 2026, European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced an update to the OECD eChemPortal, incorporating its latest regulatory data. The update includes around 5,000 revised REACH registrations and the addition of 1,229 newly registered substances. These updates enhance the scope and accuracy of chemical information available to users worldwide. A key improvement is the integration of direct links from eChemPortal search results to the corresponding source data in ECHA CHEM, ECHA's centralized regulatory database. This advancement significantly improves data traceability, enabling users to verify information more efficiently and access detailed regulatory records with ease. The eChemPortal supports both property-based searches across multiple substances and targeted searches for individual chemicals. In addition to ECHA's contributions, the platform aggregates data from numerous governmental chemical programs globally, making it a comprehensive resource for chemical safety and regulatory information. Managed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and hosted by ECHA, the eChemPortal provides free public access to chemical property data.
