Japan has notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of a proposal to revise the Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for the agricultural pesticide Kasugamycin under the Food Sanitation Act. The proposal was circulated as WTO SPS Notification G/SPS/N/JPN/1422 and would amend the Specifications and Standards for Foods, Food Additives, Etc. The proposed MRL revisions apply to a range of food commodities, including: Natural honey (HS 04.09) Vegetables, roots, and tubers (HS 07.01–07.10, 07.13) Edible fruits, nuts, and citrus peel (HS 08.02, 08.04, 08.05, 08.07–08.11, 08.14) Rice (HS 10.06) Tea, mate, and spices (HS 09.02–09.10) Oilseeds and oleaginous fruits (HS 12.01, 12.07, 12.12)
