Australia has transitioned the issuance of export health certificates for edible meat and meat products to its new NEXDOC certification system, effective 15 June 2026. Under the updated system, health certificates will feature a QR code security measure and be printed on standard A4 paper, replacing the previously used blue security paper. Authorities clarified that the information contained in the certificates will remain unchanged, and the existing electronic SPS (eSPS) certification exchange for imported meat and meat products from Australia, operational since June 2023, will continue without any impact. The move is intended to modernize certification processes while enhancing document security and traceability.
