Better Weather Actives LLC has voluntarily recalled all lots of its Better Weather Fix Elixir 15 ml products after discovering the presence of undeclared Mitragynine and Mitragynine Pseudoindoxyl (MP), compounds associated with kratom. According to the company, MP is a more potent derivative that may cause serious health effects, including nausea, rapid heart rate, hallucinations, sedation, loss of consciousness, respiratory depression, addiction, and severe withdrawal symptoms.
The recalled products, sold nationwide in 15 ml bottles labelled “Better Weather Fix Elixir” and “Better Weather Fix Elixir Berry,” may pose increased risks when used with prescription medications or other substances. No adverse events have been reported to date. Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately and return them to the place of purchase. The recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. FDA.
