The Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has prohibited the sale and advertising of eight cannabis-based products from the Hemp Vegan brand due to the absence of registration or authorization. The affected products, which include items with phytocannabinoids such as CBG, CBDA, CBD topical balms, full-spectrum CBD drops, gummies, pastes, and muscular patches, were being marketed by an unregistered manufacturer. Additionally, several cannabis products from Cannafy Serviços de Internet Ltda., including CBDM Gummy and brands Canna River and Rare Cannabinoid, are also banned for similar regulatory noncompliance. Anvisa further ordered the seizure and ban on mushroom products from De Volta às Raízes Comércio Ltda., citing lack of registration and unauthorized manufacture. These decisive regulatory measures aim to protect public health by preventing the circulation of unregulated cannabis and mushroom products in the Brazilian market, which may pose safety risks to consumers.
