"The Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) has added five industrial chemicals to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory) in accordance with section 82 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019, following the expiry of the 5-year assessment certificate period. These additions mean the chemicals are now listed on the Inventory and may be introduced by any importer or manufacturer, provided they comply with all applicable obligations.
Each listed chemical carries specific information requirements, meaning introducers must notify AICIS within 28 days if their introduction circumstances differ from those assessed. The chemicals added on 7 November 2025 include:
1) CAS 1166834-57-6 – 2,1-Benzisothiazole-5-sulfonamide, 3-[(1E)-2-(3-chloro-4-hydroxyphenyl)diazenyl]- (C₁₃H₉ClN₄O₃S₂)
2) CAS 1184721-10-5 – Phenol, 2-chloro-4-[(1E)-2-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)diazenyl]- (C₁₀H₉ClN₄O)
3) CAS 1444596-49-9 – Phenol, 2-chloro-4-[(1E)-2-[3-(methylthio)-1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl]diazenyl]- (C₉H₇ClN₄OS₂)
4) CAS 16517-75-2 – 1-Propanaminium, 3-[(4-amino-9,10-dihydro-3-methyl-9,10-dioxo-1-anthracenyl)amino]-N,N,N-trimethyl-, methyl sulfate (1:1) (C₂₁H₂₆N₃O₂·CH₃O₄S)
5) Additionally, CAS 3103256-18-1, Amines, polyethylenepoly-, reaction products with maleated 1-dodecene-1-octene polymer (molecular formula unspecified), was added on 11 November 2025."
